The following are a list of support groups that have online sites that can provide additional information. Some of these groups may have local affiliates in your area.


ORGANIZATIONS' SITES (.org)
The Council for Exceptional Children (CEC)
The Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) is the largest international professional organization dedicated to improving educational outcomes for individuals with exceptionalities, students with disabilities, and/or the gifted.
Children and Adults with Attention Deficit Disorders (CH.A.D.D.)
CHADD is a national organization representing individuals with AD/HD, for education, advocacy and support.
International Dyslexia Association of America
The International Dyslexia Association is an international, non-profit organization dedicated to the study and treatment of the learning disability, dyslexia.
Learning Disabilities Association of America
LDA is the only national organization devoted to defining and finding solutions for the broad spectrum of learning disabilities. LDA is the largest non-profit volunteer organization advocating for individuals with learning disabilities.
LD Online
A multimedia guide to learning disabilities for parents, teachers, and children.
National Center for Learning Disabilities, Inc.
The National Center for Learning Disabilities provides national leadership in support of children and adults with learning disabilities by offering information, resources, and referral services; developing and supporting innovative educational programs; promoting public awareness; and advocating for more effective policies and legislation to help individuals with learning disabilties.
The National Parent Information Network
The National Parent Information Network (NPIN) is a project of the ERIC (Educational Resources Information Center) system. Its mission is to provide access to research-based information about the process of parenting, and about family involvement in education.
The National Information Center for Children and Youth with Disabilities
NICHCY is the national information and referral center that provides information on disabilities and disability-related issues for families, educators, and other professionals. Our special focus is children and youth (birth to age 22).
